Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Research

The Department takes an active interest in both Clinical and Basic Science research within the field of Plastic Surgery. Oxford continues to actively pursue an evidence-based approach to surgical practice.

The Department currently has full-time Clinical Research Fellows investigating the molecular basis of craniosynostosis, limb abnormalities and cleft palate. Other specific research interests include; cleft lip and palate surgery, head and neck malignancies, breast reconstruction, urogenital surgery and hand surgery.
