Vascular Surgical Specialities

The Vascular Unit provides a regional tertiary service as well as a local secondary service. Five consultants provide continuous cover for emergencies. Elective and emergency surgery are based on a single specialist ward with support from a non-invasive vascular laboratory, 3 specialist interventional radiologists and 2 neurologists. A wide range of extrathoracic arterial and venous surgery is performed in the unit.
