Biographies
Mr Matthew Potter is a UK trained Plastic Surgeon. He qualified as a doctor in 1997 and gained his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001. He passed his Plastic Surgical exams (FRCS Plast) in 2009. He has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon from 2012. His principal NHS Practice is at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. His training in Plastic Surgery has been in London, Oxford and Australia. Mr Potter spent the last two years of his training within the UK and Australia learning advanced techniques in cosmetic surgery.
Mr Priyamal Silva graduated from Medical School in 1999, completing his higher surgical training in Manchester working with a number of leaders in the field of ENT Head and Neck surgery. He subsequently undertook a two year period of postgraduate research in head and neck cancer at the Christie Cancer Centre leading to the award of an MD. He has undertaken two advanced surgical fellowships in Head and Neck surgery initially for two years in Oxford and then a further year in Australia. He then returned to the UK in 2013 to join the Oxford Head and Neck Unit. Priy is now Chair of the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Group for the Thames Valley Network. He is also Governance Lead for ENT-Head and Neck Surgery. Priy is able to undertake the full range of ENT Practice however also has a sub speciality interest in cancers of the head and neck as well as anterior and lateral skullbase.Priy is trained to a high level within the field of general ENT and has a subspecialist interest in both benign and malignant head and neck problems.
Mr Roman Mykula graduated with overall honours in medicine and surgery from Sheffield University Medical school, then completed basic surgical training program in Cambridge University Hospitals, and specialization in plastic surgery in Oxford University Hospitals. He then won a nationally appointed competitive placement as Royal college of Surgery TIG fellow specializing in head and neck surgery. Following further fellowship in Skin Oncology, he underwent specialist training in an international fellowship in head and neck surgery and microsurgery in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Australia. He then practiced as a consultant in Australia, prior to being appointed In Oxford University Hospitals and Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading as a consultant in Plastic Surgery specializing in Head and Neck, Skin Oncology, and perineal reconstruction. He has published research articles and presented internationally in related fields, including complex head and neck reconstruction, microsurgery, and skin oncology.
Prior to medicine, Mr Mykula completed Fordham Preparatory High School with overall Distinction and contributions to the community honours, and a liberal Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College, a New York University, USA.
