Award certificate: Congratulations FUTURE-GB, winner of the OCTRU CTU Awards 2021 in the category of Trial of the Year

The team has expanded with several members nominated for awards at the recent Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU) CTU Awards.

Congratulations to the FUTURE-GB trial team (Chief Investigator - Professor Puneet Plaha) for winning in the ‘Trial of the Year’ category. The FUTURE-GB (Functional and Ultrasound Guided Resection of Glioblastoma) trial assesses the use of additional imaging during surgery to improve outcomes for patients with glioblastoma brain tumours.

SITU NDS received nominations across several other categories including Ms Lucy Davies for ‘Special contribution to trials’, Skin Sentinel Trial (SSF Trial; Chief Investigator - Professor Henk Giele) for ‘Trial Innovation’ and Ms Amy Taylor for ‘Trial Manager of the Year’.

Congratulations also to Ms Nadjat Medeghri (SITU Operational Lead) for her tireless support of SITU and the whole team.
