Clinical Trial Manager - DISCUS

I joined SITU in August 2022 as Clinical Trial Manager for DISCUS trial. Duroplasty for Injured cervical Spinal Cord with Uncontrolled Swelling (DISCUS) is a randomised controlled trial for Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury (TSCI). Participants are recruited from major trauma centres and followed up at rehab sites. The aim of DISCUS is to investigate whether the addition of duroplasty to the standard intervention of laminectomy can help to improve patient outcomes after TSCI.

Before joining SITU, I worked at King’s College London as a Clinical Trial Assistant on phase II CTIMP rheumatoid arthritis trials, APIPPRA and ALTO. I have also worked at UCL Cancer Institute on a phase II CTIMP myeloma trial, CARDAMON. Prior to this, I worked as a haematology research assistant in University of Cambridge. I gained my BSc Biomedical Sciences from UCL and MSc Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London. I am currently studying part time for a PGCert in Clinical Trials at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

In my spare time, you will probably find me eating, cooking or planning the next restaurant to check out!
