This event will highlight the research progress of Professor Thomas Erb (UKBB) on how to reduce the risk associated with the use of mechanical ventilation in children, and the efforts to improve competence in paediatric anaesthesia in Switzerland. Then, Dr Marianne Schmid Daners (ETH Zurich) will provide an overview of the challenges of paediatric hydrocephalus treatment. Finally, Professor Kokila Lakhoo (OUGSG, University of Oxford) will present her work in low- and middle-income countries on providing surgical treatments to children in need.
