\n \n\n \n \n \nSeven cutting edge research projects, including a project led by Professor Peter Friend from the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, have been awarded grants totalling \u00a31.1 million by the UK medical research charity, Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF). The grants bring the charity\u2019s total research support to \u00a310 million.

\n \n\n \n \n \nA multi-disciplinary team of researchers in Oxford and Newcastle, led by Professor Rutger Ploeg from the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, has been awarded a grant of \u00a31.7 million from the Medical Research Council. The four-year grant will enable the expansion of the successful Quality in Organ Donation (QUOD) initiative, currently funded and supported by NHS Blood and Transplant.
