\n \n\n \n \n \nThe liver transplant team at the Royal Free Hospital (RFH) has successfully recruited the first liver to be used in a revolutionary new study \u2014 looking at whether fat can be removed from donor livers to make them suitable for transplantation. The study is being run from the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) at the University of Oxford.

\n \n\n \n \n \nThe Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) has awarded its first annual grant to an early career researcher from the Philip Allison Foundation. The award went to Dr Hisashi Hashimoto, a postdoctoral researcher at NDS with a research focus on regulatory T cells (Tregs).
