\n \n\n \n \n \nProfessor Irene Tracey, CBE, FMedSci, became Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford on 1 January 2023. She was previously Warden of Merton College, Oxford, her alma mater. She is also Professor of Anaesthetic Neuroscience in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.

\n \n\n \n \n \nDr Dimitrios Doultsinos, a John Black Research Fellow in Prostate Oncology at Oxford University's Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS), was one of this year\u2019s recipients of the highly coveted Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Young Investigator Award.

\n \n\n \n \n \nIt is with great sadness that we report Peter Morris\u2019s death. Peter died peacefully of metastatic colon cancer on Saturday 29 October at the age of 88, at home in Witney, surrounded by his wife Jocelyn and members of his large family. Peter has been one of the greatest Oxford medicine figures and was the third Nuffield Professor of Surgery between 1974 and 2001.

\n \n\n \n \n \nDr Anna Furmanski has recently been appointed as Course Director for the MSc in Integrated Immunology programme ahead of Professor Jon Austyn\u2019s retirement after 19 years in the role. Dr Furmanski is an experienced educator, course leader, academic supervisor, and research immunologist.
