Trials Manager (OVIVA)
My background is in surgical nursing in a variety of specialities. I joined Oxford University in 2012, first as a clinical research nurse and now my current role encompasses all aspects of study co-ordination for the OVIVA Study (a randomised open-label study of oral versus intravenous antibiotics in bone and joint infections requiring prolonged antibiotic treatment). The site set ups, co-ordination, data monitoring and recruitment drive for this large-scale study involving 27 sites, remains challenging and rewarding.
I am also in the process of submitting the protocol for a qualitative aspect to OVIVA, investigating barriers to recruitment.
My other interest is in voluntary nursing with a humanitarian organisation.
