Ros completed undergraduate medical training in 2013 at the University of Birmingham, during which time she also completed an intercalated degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Having enjoyed her time in the lab, she then undertook an NIHR Academic Foundation Programme in the Wessex training region. She started training in Histopathology in 2015, and was subsequently appointed to a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Southampton. In 2017 Ros started a DPhil (PhD) as a CRUK Clinical Research Training Fellow at the University of Oxford. Her research involved characterising peripheral immune responses and epigenetic cell-free DNA profiles in patients with metastatic melanoma treated with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB).
Ros is currently a Histopathology Specialty Registrar in the Thames Valley region. She is interested in how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to help pathologists provide critical diagnostic services which underpin patient care, and is excited to be part of the Paige Prostate study.
