'Opportunities for basic science using neurosurgery: From cell to cognition'

Biography 

Mr Martin Gillies completed a PhD on basic science in 2003. He started Neurosurgery as a Specialty Registrar in 2008, being appointed as a NIHR funded Academic Clinical Lecturer supervised by Professors Tipu Aziz and Alex Green in 2014. He completed the ACL in September 2019 and will work with Professor Aziz and Professor Green as a clinical research fellow on a clinical trial of deep brain stimulation (DBS).
