Surgical Grand Rounds and seminars
The department holds Surgical Grand Rounds seminars weekly during term time on a Friday at 8am in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Academic Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The seminars include internal and external guest speakers from all over the world and cover a wide variety of research topics. Visit the Events webpage to see what is coming up soon. Oxford Talks is the University-wide database of seminars, events and talks. Browse the catalogue and choose from the huge number of speakers Oxford attracts.
Public Engagement Outreach and PPI
The Outreach Committee develops and monitors a structured outreach and engagement programme for the department. We aim to showcase our research, inspire the younger generation, engage with the local community and raise debate on the impact of science on society. Find out further information about getting involved.
Some researchers will also be getting involved in Patient and Public Involvement (PPI). Comprehensive guidance around this is available on the Divisional website.
Committees
Get involved and have your say by serving on one or more of the departmental Committees. Please note that staff members of NDS are expected either to sign up to a committee or opt-out of serving. Both can be done on the sign up/opt out form.
