Two ex-NDS members received TTS recognition awards, namely Medina Pestana from Brazil and Richard Allen from Sydney, Australia.

They were both trained in part in the NDS and are now both highly distinguished in their respective countries in the field of transplantation. At the award ceremonies there were five recipients of awards on the stage, and three were NDS, current (Kathryn Wood), or past (Richard Allen and Medina Pestana).
