An article on The ONE Study, an EU funded project in which the Transplantation Research Immunology Group are consortium members, has been featured on the European Commission's Horizon 2020 website.

The article, entitled 'Re-educating the immune system', explains how The One Study is aiming to develop a cell therapy to overcome organ rejection.

After an organ transplant, a patient must take powerful drugs to suppress rejection of the new body part. The ONE Study project is testing whether some of the body's own immune cells can improve organ acceptance. Initial clinical trials are underway.
