© 2016 Betts G et al. New biomarkers are required to detect acute rejection (AR) in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) to avoid invasive kidney biopsies. We assess whether a 5-gene panel (DUSP1; NKTR; PBEF1; MAPK9; and PSEN1) in whole blood samples that has previously been shown to identify AR in a paedriatric KTR population is able to distinguish AR in a UK population of adult Caucasian KTR patients.
