The requirement for operators to adopt seated postures with trunk rotation with simultaneous exposure to whole-body vibration is present in many off-road driving environments. A brief review of current literature, along with a survey of expert opinion and 3 laboratory studies are presented. From these a model of the effect of such dual exposures is proposed.
