Ahmad Alalti
Junior Bioinformatician
I am a Junior Bioinformatician in the Oncology workstream of the Oxford-Janssen Cartography Consortium. This project aims to create a detailed cellular atlas that maps genes and proteins across various diseases and tissues.
My current work involves multimodal single-cell analysis of renal and bladder cancer samples. This research deepens our understanding of disease mechanisms in order to identify key therapeutic targets.
Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Target Discovery Institute, where I conducted CRISPR/Cas9 cell-based high-throughput screens. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked on the ONS COVID-19 Infection Survey at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, focusing on the robotic and automation platforms in the Serology team.
