I am responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and delivery of surgical teaching and curriculum for medical students for the University of Oxford. I work closely with Miss Daljit Dhariwal and Miss Mei Nortley in the strategic planning and delivery of the surgical curriculum in years 4 and 6 of the medical course and the graduate entry course in years 2 and 4.

Together with my NDS undergraduate training colleagues we develop and deliver basic medical education training for doctors in training and a senior faculty development programme for surgical educators.

I have an active interest in patient safety and surgical outcomes research. I was the Founding PI of the OxAAA study, handing over to Professor Regent Lee in 2024 after 10 years and work with Professor Kokila Lakhoo as Co-PI in the Global Surgery research group. I have a number of other research collaborations in cardiovascular imaging and biomedical engineering.
