Research Assistant in Bone Oncology

I joined the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences in Professor Claire Edwards lab in September 2024. As a Research Assistant in Bone Oncology, my role is to conduct experiments alongside the post-doctoral researchers in the lab to investigate bone microenvironment interactions which promote the development of multiple myeloma, to provide a better understanding of how multiple myeloma develops.

I currently work alongside Dr Beatriz Gamez Molina and Professor Claire Edwards, as well as the other post doctoral researchers and PhD students within the lab at The Botnar Institute for Musculoskeletal Sciences.

Prior to joining NDS, I undertook an Integrated Masters Degree with the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Oxford and completed my Masters project studying the metabolic targeting of prostate cancer bone metastasis also in Professor Claire Edwards lab, working closely alongside Dr Renee Ormsby.
