Emma McGregor

BSc (Hons)

Research Assistant in Bone Oncology

  • MSc (by Research) Student

I joined the Edwards Bone Oncology group as a research assistant in March 2024. I work on prostate cancer bone metastasis and have been conducting experiments for my co-supervisors Professor Claire Edwards and Dr Edward O'Neill. Having previous experience working in a histopathology lab, I also provide histology assistance for the group.

In October 2024, I started a Masters by Research within the department where I am modelling prostate cancer dormancy in the bone microenvironment and investigating the role of metabolism. I am also interested in the effect of radionuclide therapy on prostate cancer dormancy.
