Jacob Freda

BA (Hons)

Clinical Trials Assistant

I am a Clinical Trials Assistant for SITU. I help with administration on multiple trials, including MelMarT-II, EndoNET, and SENTINEL.

EndoNET is a prospective, Phase-III, multicentre randomised controlled trial, evaluating the effectiveness of neo-adjuvant endocrine treatment (hormone therapy prior to surgery) in post-menopausal women with early breast cancer. MelMarT-II is an international Phase III study which seeks to determine whether there is a difference in local recurrence and melanoma survival rates for patients treated with either a 1cm excision margin or 2cm margin for clinical stage II (pT2b-pT4b) primary cutaneous melanoma.

Before joining SITU, I worked in Human Resources at the Nuffield Department of Population Health. I also held a similar role in SITU as a Temporary Trial Co-ordinator, before joining the department on a permanent basis. I completed a BA (Hons) in English at Durham University, so I love a good natter about books or theatre.
