Postdoctoral Researcher

Ning Bi, currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) at the University of Oxford, specialises in the innovative field of Computerised Tomography (CT) image analysis. Her current research, conducted in collaboration with Associate Professor Regent Lee and Professor Vicente Grau, is pioneering in the exploration of Variational Generative models in Digital Contrast. This groundbreaking work primarily focuses on synthesising contrast-enhanced CT images from non-contrast CT images, with the potential to significantly reduce medical imaging costs and enhance various downstream applications.

Prior to her tenure at NDS, Ning earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Leeds, jointly supervised by Professor Alex Frangi, Dr Zeike Taylor, and Dr Arezoo Zakeri. Her postgraduate research focuses on variational generative models in cardiac motion analysis and anomaly detection.
