Events Officer
I have been part of the department since May 2014, based at the Old Road Campus Research Building. My role encompasses the planning, coordination, and execution of courses, events, and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
Course Management
I am responsible for the organisation and management of the following courses:
ECMINT (European Course in Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy)
- Supported by the (European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy) ESMINT.
- A five-day hybrid course held biannually in June and December, attended by 120 in-person participants and lecturers, and 40-50 online attendees.
- Working with Anna Dzido (NDS), liaising with the ESMINT team and Course Directors to arrange and to enhance the course’s external reputation.
OATS (Oxford Aneurysm Treatment School)
- Sponsored by Stryker Neurovascular.
- An annual four-day course for 50 participants and lecturers.
- Coordinating with the Stryker team and Course Directors.
Departmental Events
I oversee the planning and execution of a variety of departmental events, including:
Surgical Grand Round Seminar Series.
Annual NDS Away Day.
Visiting Professors and Speakers:
- Manage itineraries, travel arrangements, accommodation, roundtable discussions, dinners, and working lunches.
Research Meetings and Seminars:
- Book venues, arrange catering, and provide on-the-day support.
Conferences, Symposiums and Ad Hoc Events:
- Organise and run departmental events as required by the Head of Department.
Deputise for Senior Executive Officer to Head of Department.
I am available to assist with queries, guidance or support for any departmental events, meetings, visitors and courses.
