Kashish Jain

BSc, MSc

Clinical Trials Assistant

My work focuses on supporting the delivery of high-quality surgical clinical trials within the Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (NDS-SITU). Currently, I am contributing to the EndoNET study, a randomised trial investigating whether neo-adjuvant endocrine therapy prior to surgery leads to better outcomes for post-menopausal women with oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer.

I hold a BSc in Life Sciences from the University of Delhi and an MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology from the University of Oxford. I have a keen interest in cancer research, particularly in understanding cancer risk at a population level and in the role clinical trials play in shaping better treatments for patients. During my MSc, my research focused on the environmental and lifestyle risk factors of nasopharyngeal carcinoma across endemic and non-endemic regions of China.

Prior to moving to Oxford, I spent nearly three years in cancer clinical trials at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Asia, where I contributed to the delivery and conduct of multi-centre global studies across diverse solid tumours including prostate cancer, lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma and others.

I am committed to developing my research career in improving outcomes for cancer patients, and welcome collaborations across the clinical trials and cancer research community.
