After moving to Oxford in the summer of 2012, she started working in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences in January 2013, first as recruitment coordinator with Professor Alison Halliday and later as research coordinator with Professor Freddie Hamdy. She started a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation at the Saïd Business School last year and will graduate in autumn. After work, Jo enjoys spending time with her three children, two cats and a pile of books.

Commenting on her new role, Jo said: ‘I’m very excited about this opportunity, and very honoured and humble to be part of the journey NDS is making after my predecessor Luke Marsden has started so many good changes.’
