I am currently a student with the Translational Research and Immunology Group (TRIG) under Dr Fadi Issa and Dr Joanna Hester. My research focuses on the in-depth characterisation of the immunological changes in the peripheral blood of patients participating in the TWO study and the immune profiling of the cell products used. Regulatory T cell therapy is a promising strategy to optimise immunosuppression in solid organ transplant recipients but relatively little is known about how these cells modulate the human immune system in this setting. This research will improve our understanding of these mechanisms and allow us to optimise the monitoring strategies and individualise therapy for patients receiving cell therapy for immune modulation. 

I completed medical school at the National University of Singapore in 2010 and was conferred specialist accreditation in renal medicine in 2018 and in kidney transplantation in 2021. I am a consultant nephrologist at the Singapore General Hospital and SingHealth Duke-NUS Transplant Centre and hold adjunct faculty appointments in the medical schools in Singapore. Prior to my studies, I was also a core faculty member of the SingHealth renal medicine senior residency programme.
