New academic promotions at NDS

Awards and appointments Department

We are thrilled to announce that five researchers from the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS) have been successfully promoted in the 2019-20 academic promotion round.

In this round, all five NDS candidates recommended for promotion were approved by the Divisional Board. These individuals have demonstrated, against the University’s rigorous promotions criteria, that they have delivered outstanding research, teaching and administration at Oxford and beyond.

NEW ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIPS:

Ben Turney is now Associate Professor of Urology 

Fadi Issa is Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery   

Stuart Winter is Associate Professor (Head and Neck Consultant)

Puneet Plaha is Associate Professor (Consultant Neurosurgeon)

Promotion to UNIVERSITY RESEARCH LECTURER

Joanna Hester has been awarded the title of University Research Lecturer.
