Prostate cancer cells The following table shows a representative list of projects for which ORB / OCHRe have provided, or are providing, samples and/or services.

Pre-operative window of opportunity study of the effects of atovaquone on hypoxia in non-small cell lung carcinoma (ATOM trial)	Biobank support to process 810 tissue samples into FFPE blocks from 23 cases, cutting of paraffin embedded sections and storage of samples.
SMP2 Stratified Medicine Programme	Consenting of patients, collection of blood samples and cutting of paraffin embedded sections to send to the programme for genetic analysis. Registration of patients to programme, filling forms with required clinical data and gene analysis results.
The impact of cancer microenvironment on the quality of tumor-infiltrating T cells	Consenting of patients, collection of fresh and fixed lung tissue samples and support with immunostaining and image analysis.
Immune cell interactions in inflammatory diseases	Collection of fresh tonsils.
Multi-modal Analysis of Longitudinally Sampled Oesophageal Cancer Patients - CRUK OeCa Collection	Creation of the CRUK oesophageal collection. Consenting of patients, collection of blood samples, biopsies and resection tissue samples from recruited oesophageal cancer patients. Processing and storage of collected samples. Generation of digital slides from H&E slides. Distribution of samples to research teams applying to access samples from this collection.
Analysis of the Interaction between epithelial cells, mast cells and basophils in patients with asthma and healthy controls	69 fresh lung samples issued to research project.
The Role of Neutrophils in the Development of Liver Metastasis	125 fresh liver samples issued to research project.
Genomics England Feasibility Pilot Study (GEL)	Consenting of patients, collection of bloods and fresh frozen and fixed tissue samples for whole genome sequencing analysis. Setting up recruitment and sample collection pathways in several cancer tissue types. Support satellite projects looking at optimal collection, processing and storage of samples for this project.
Valvular Heart Disease Population Cohort Study	Processing and temporary storage of blood samples collected from recruited patients at different time points (2500 participants).
Prostate Cancer – A Pilot Study Evaluating Associations Between Inflammatory Cell Infiltrates and Mutation Status Utilising Novel Image Analysis and Next Generation Sequencing Technology (TMA build and analysis)	Checking consent of potential cases, assisting the pathologist with selection of areas of interest from selected cases and building a tissue micro array.
