Multi-modal Analysis of Longitudinally Sampled Oesophageal Cancer Patients - CRUK OeCa Collection

Creation of the CRUK oesophageal collection. Consenting of patients, collection of blood samples, biopsies and resection tissue samples from recruited oesophageal cancer patients. Processing and storage of collected samples. Generation of digital slides from H&E slides. Distribution of samples to research teams applying to access samples from this collection.

Genomics England Feasibility Pilot Study (GEL)

Consenting of patients, collection of bloods and fresh frozen and fixed tissue samples for whole genome sequencing analysis. Setting up recruitment and sample collection pathways in several cancer tissue types. Support satellite projects looking at optimal collection, processing and storage of samples for this project.

Valvular Heart Disease Population Cohort Study

Processing and temporary storage of blood samples collected from recruited patients at different time points (2500 participants).

Prostate Cancer – A Pilot Study Evaluating Associations Between Inflammatory Cell Infiltrates and Mutation Status Utilising Novel Image Analysis and Next Generation Sequencing Technology (TMA build and analysis)

Checking consent of potential cases, assist the pathologist with selection of areas of interest from selected cases and building a tissue micro array.
