Join us in the historic, yet highly innovative surroundings of the University of Oxford, for the IDEAL Collaboration Conference 2026, an important annual feature of the Collaboration’s network of surgeons, scientists, engineers and trial methodologists whose main aim is to improve the evaluation of surgery and other complex healthcare interventions. This year, our meeting will take a specific focus on evaluation in the digital age, especially with regards to what seem the most salient, current issues of Robotics and AI.

We are proud to provide a platform to discuss the latest developments in these areas, fostering an environment where experts from diverse backgrounds can share methodological research, real-world evaluation, and opportunities for collaboration. The conference will feature a series of thought-provoking keynotes from international speakers. Confirmed speakers for the conference to date, include:

Professor Peter Friend MD FRCS, Emeritus Professor of Transplantation, University of Oxford & Co-Founder, OrganOx.

Professor Prokar Dasgupta OBE, Professor of Urology and Robotic Surgery, King’s College London, UK

Dr Pietro Mascagni MD PhD, Co-founder at Scialytics, Director VBA&CAI at Gemelli, CS & AI Research at IHU-Strasbourg

More speakers will be confirmed in due course.
