Quality improvement (QI) is widely adopted across healthcare, yet its impact remains inconsistent and difficult to evidence.

This session will:

  • Examine what we mean by QI today,
  • Explore the question of return on investment (ROI),
  • Consider the organisational, structural, and cultural factors that continue to limit impact, and
  • Address what must shift for QI to become a core organisational capability rather than a peripheral activity.

As part of the Oxford Open Grand Round series, this event is open to all and will welcome April Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and President of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
