 Biography

Ola Bratt

Ola Bratt is Professor of Clinical Cancer Epidemiology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He is the chairman of the National Working Group for Organised Prostate Cancer Testing, which coordinates population-based regional projects aiming at making prostate cancer testing more effective and equal, gaining knowledge about organisational and diagnostic aspects of relevance a future national screening programme for prostate cancer, and creating an infrastructure in preparation for such a screening programme. Ola Bratt is also chairman of the Swedish Consortium for Research on Organised Prostate Cancer Testing (SweCROPT), that coordinates research spanning from informatics and mental adverse effects to diagnostics and epidemiology.

Bratt is also a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Prostate Cancer Centre, Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the examinator and lead lecturer at the Clinical Research School for PhD Students (30 ECTS), University of Gothenburg.

 

The Chief Medical Officer has confirmed that attendance at the Surgical Grand Rounds can count toward internal CPD, with 1 point awarded per hour. Please note that in-person attendance is required, and you will need to sign the attendance register.
