Speaking to BBC Radio Gloucestershire, Mr Peter said: 'We’re like everyone else. In the morning, we feel fear and anxiety like everyone else; it’s the new norm during this pandemic. But fear and apprehension is not a sign of weakness. It’s what makes us human. I feel that every worker in this country has been exhibiting immense courage'.
Mr Peter lost a colleague to COVID-19, and over 100 other healthcare workers have lost their lives. They are among those who were remembered, when the country paused and took a moment to commemorate the frontline workers who have fought relentlessly for us. The loss of our heroes has been sorely felt across the country.
