The ORCRB, housing the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS), the Ludwig Institute, the Jenner Institute, the Department of Oncology, Oxford Cancer, and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering will open to the public from 12.30pm to 4pm, and will also host the Pandemic Sciences Institute and the Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine.
An exciting programme of activities will be on offer, in which visitors of all ages can enjoy hearing from our researchers, watching live demonstrations, seeing inside our state-of-art labs, and much more.
During the afternoon, visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the WINGMEN trial from NDS Research Coordinator Martin Pirkl. The WINGMEN trial aims to understand how a hormone-like protein called insulin-like growth factor (IGF) helps prostate cancers grow and become aggressive.
There will be hot and cold refreshments available and the building is accessible.
