Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

Get involved

Patients, carers, family members and the public are invited to help shape medical education by getting involved with teaching sessions and mock examinations.

The Collaborating Centre for Values-based Practice in Health and Social Care

The Collaborating Centre is based at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, and is led by Professor Ashok Handa. As a predominantly virtual centre, it provides a hub for those with a shared interest in developing more effective ways of working with values in health and social care. The team welcomes enquiries from anyone working in relevant areas of health and social care, including patients and carers.

All 4th year and Graduate Entry year 2 students have a session on Shared Decision Making and Values in Healthcare as part of their Oxford Surgery attachment, delivered by members of the Collaborating Centre.

Financial donations 

We welcome donations to support the delivery and ongoing development of surgical training for 4th and 6th year medical students.
