Alberto Lens Pardo

BSc, MSc, PhD

Postdoctoral Scientist in Organoid Biology & Multiomics

I am a Postdoctoral Scientist in Organoid Biology & Multiomics at the Tumour Evolution and Cell Identity Laboratory. My research focuses on how the order of key somatic mutations shapes colorectal cancer biology, stem cell behaviour and therapy vulnerability. Using gene-edited human organoids as models of tumour evolution, we aim to identify signatures of mutational order that may inform future patient stratification strategies and clinical trial design.

I obtained my BSc in Biochemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2018, followed by a MSc in Biomedical Translational Research from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2019. In 2025, I completed my PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where my research focused on the identification of predictive biomarkers of response to angiogenesis inhibitors in Neuroendocrine Tumours.
