Cindy Wairimu

Transplant Technician

I have always been driven by a passion to improve people's lives through healthcare, which naturally led me to a career in the field of transplantation science. As a Transplant Technician at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, I support critical research and clinical projects related to organ transplantation. My role involves assisting with the preparation, preservation, and analysis of transplant tissues, ensuring that our procedures are both cutting-edge and compliant with HTA regulatory standards. This work is crucial in advancing the success rates of transplant surgeries and improving long-term outcomes for patients.

My background includes a strong focus on scientific research, with a deep interest in translational medicine. Throughout my career, I have sought opportunities to contribute to research that directly impacts patient care. Joining the transplant team at Oxford has allowed me to fulfill my goal of being part of a healthcare system that works at the forefront of surgical innovation. I am deeply committed to applying my skills and knowledge to contribute to meaningful improvements in patient care and the development of new medical technologies.
