Jie Zhao

MA, PhD

Visiting Researcher

Zhao Jie is a visiting research scholar in the Translational Research Immunology Group (TRIG) at the University of Oxford. She is an ICU physician from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital in China, with a research focus on sepsis-associated immune dysfunction and regulatory T cell (Treg) biology.

Her work integrates clinical intensive care practice with translational immunology, particularly investigating mechanisms of immune regulation during severe infection, including Treg-mediated immunosuppression and immune checkpoint pathways.

At Oxford, she is working within TRIG to foster collaborative research, strengthening links between clinical critical care and basic immunology, and contributing to ongoing projects in Treg biology and translational immune regulation.
