Jo Cook

RGN

Clinical Trial Manager

I joined NDS SITU in 2017 and have contributed to a broad portfolio of clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas. My experience spans the full trial lifecycle, from set-up and delivery through to close-out and archiving.

I am currently the Trial Manager for the NIHR funded PART trial which aims to determine whether partial ablation for unilateral intermediate risk prostate cancer provides effective oncological outcomes compared with radical treatment.

Prior to joining NDS SITU, I was employed as a research nurse within NDS for over a decade, working on a cardiothoracic trial (ART) led by Professor D Taggart. During this time, I published my own work focused on patient compliance and adherence to treatment.

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1992 and have extensive clinical experience in both cardiothoracic and coronary care settings across the Midlands and the South of England.

In addition to my clinical trial work, I have previously been involved in the NDS Outreach Group, supporting engagement initiatives in secondary schools and participating in local science fairs. I have had the opportunity to present at both national and international conferences as well as internally within my department.
