Jo Cook

RGN

Research Nurse

My research work focuses on the evaluation of new or improved surgical techniques within cardiac surgery which aim to improve quality of life and shape future clinical practice.

My current role is as the local coordinator for the Arterial Revascularisation Trial (ART). It is a multi-centre, international, randomised control trial, jointly funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and the Medical Research Council (MRC).

I am responsible for managing a cohort of patients whom I follow up yearly for ten years post Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG).

I am a co-author on a data quality publication for the ART trial and am currently involved with submitting my own paper.
