Welcome to the IDEAL 2024 Conference, championing the advancement of safe and innovative surgical practices on a global scale. This year, our conference, hosted by the IDEAL Collaboration, takes a deep dive into three critical areas: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Global Surgery, and Education.

We are proud to provide a platform to discuss the latest developments in these areas, fostering an environment where experts from diverse backgrounds can share methodological research, real-world evaluation, and opportunities for collaboration. The conference will feature a series of thought-provoking keynotes from international speakers.

Furthermore, the IDEAL 2024 Conference invites the submission of abstracts, providing an opportunity for participants to contribute their work. Accepted abstracts will be published in BMJ Surgery, Interventions, & Health Technologies, offering contributors the chance to make a significant impact in the surgical community.
