The communications team at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences is celebrating a fantastic achievement with two colleagues recognised at the 2025 University of Oxford Apprenticeships Awards.

Apprenticeship Awards 2025

Congratulations to Ben Alexander and Louise King, who were both nominated for awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the University’s apprenticeship community.

Ben, who is undertaking a Business Administration Apprenticeship with Abingdon & Witney College, was nominated in the Intermediate & Advanced Apprentice Award category. Louise, Communications and Public Engagement Officer, was nominated for the Apprentice Manager Award,

The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 9 December at Rhodes House, Oxford, a historic yet distinctly 21st-century venue. The evening was opened by Professor Irene Tracey, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

This year’s awards saw a record 135 nominations, highlighting the remarkable skill, dedication, and influence of apprentices and their managers across the University.
