Dennis Mazingi, a DPhil student in Global Surgery, has won the David Lloyd Global Papers Prize at the 70th Annual Congress of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons (BAPS) in Sheffield from 2-5 July 2024.

Dennis (pictured left with Professor Kokila Lakhoo and Mr Sean Marven, the BAPS President Elec) is a final year DPhil student under the supervision of Professor Lakhoo, Professor Ashok Handa, Mr Noel Peter and Professor Godfrey Muguti within the Oxford University Global Surgery Group

His research focuses on a school-based educational intervention for prevention of paediatric injury in Zimbabwe.
