Professor Fadi Issa, Professor of Transplantation at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS), has been awarded the Recognition Award by the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT), celebrating his outstanding leadership and contributions to the field of transplantation.

The award was presented by the Honourable Mr Justice Prasanna Varale of the Supreme Court of India during the 35th Annual Conference of ISOT, held in Jaipur from 9 to 12 October 2025. The conference brought together distinguished experts, pioneering researchers, and industry leaders from around the world to advance innovation and collaboration in organ transplantation.

Professor Issa co-leads the Transplantation Research Immunology Group at NDS, where his work focuses on immune regulation and tolerance in transplantation. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Immunology and Executive Editor of Transplantation, helping shape the global conversation on immunological research and clinical practice.
