The Oxford Centre for Innovation and Interventional Technology (OCIT)
Fundraising
We estimate that OCIT will cost approximately £60 million to build and fit with cutting-edge state-of-the-art equipment and we have already raised considerable interest from both philanthropic and business partners.
To date, we have received philanthropic pledges of £10 million and £2.5 million, and industrial partners (medical devices, therapeutic agents and instrumentation) have committed £9 million in kind. Meanwhile, other donors and partners continue to be actively sought. We will be seeking a 1:2 match for all this funding from the UK Government’s Research Partnership Investment Fund, as and when the next funding round is announced.
In addition, £10 million is being sought from the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership through the Local Growth Fund.
Furthermore, there is growing research grant revenue which will flow into OCIT with, for example, recent awards from Cancer Research UK and the Oxford NIHR Biomedical Research Centre totalling £9.65 million.
We are actively seeking additional financial partners.
