Introduction
Welcome to the website for the Oxford Consortium for Islet Transplantation (OXCIT)
OXCIT is a multidisciplinary team, that aims to acheive
insulin indendence in patients with diabetes by transplanting
pancreatic islets of Langerhans. By simultaneously engaging in detailed
basic and clinical research it is anticipated that the OXCIT team will
enable islet transplantation to be applied to children with diabetes in
the future.
OXCIT comprises 3 components, namely
the DRWF human islet isolation facility, the clinical transplant
programme, and a multifaceted research programme. Please click on the
