Actively researching the immunology of transplantation since 1985, the Transplantation Research Immunology Group is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary international team of around 20 scientists and clinician scientists.
The broad focus of our research programme is understanding and controlling the cellular and molecular events that lead to transplant rejection, with the ultimate aim of improving long-term transplant outcome in the clinic.
The group receives substantial funding from The Wellcome Trust, the Medical Research Council, Kidney Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and the European Union
